As the company's main Buyer, you will take ownership of supplier relationships, negotiate competitive pricing, control purchasing costs, and ensure a reliable supply of raw materials to support manufacturing operations. This is a role where you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact, influencing procurement strategy and delivering tangible cost savings across the business. Previous procurement experience is essential, however our client is open to considering a junior Buyer looking to take the next step in their career. We're looking for someone who is commercially aware, confident communicating with suppliers, and capable of building strong relationships while negotiating favourable terms. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and supplier agreements. Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks. Work closely with production and supply chain teams to ensure continuity of supply. Maintain purchasing records, analyse costs, and identify savings opportunities. Support inventory management while balancing stock availability and working capital. Ensure suppliers comply with required quality, technical, and regulatory standards. Previous purchasing/procurement experience Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness. Confident managing supplier relationships and commercial discussions.
