This is a senior, enterprise-level role for someone who knows how to turn strategy into reality. The role is with a major entity in the UK poultry industry. You'll work closely with SLT with a remit to define 'what good looks like' and simplify complexity across management systems and programme delivery. The business is undergoing significant operational and organisational change and needs a leader who can coordinate complex programmes, align senior stakeholders, and make sure delivery actually happens, without disrupting day to day performance. This is not a governance-heavy PMO role. It's about ownership and execution, with the potential to make a substantial impact. While experience of the UK poultry industry would be an advantage, it's not a prerequisite. We're also interested to talk to people from the wider agriculture or FMCG spaces, manufacturing or other sectors in which you can demonstrate proven success in a similar function.

The role: You'll take responsibility for translating strategic priorities into clear, coordinated programmes of work, ensuring they are delivered at pace and embedded into the way the business operates. You'll operate as the central delivery lead across multiple sites and functions, acting as the link between leadership intent and operational reality. A critical part of the role is building clarity around reporting, forecasting and performance visibility, so leaders can make better, faster decisions.

Key responsibilities:
  • Translate board and executive strategy into a prioritised portfolio of programmes and initiatives
  • Lead the end to end delivery of complex, cross functional change programmes
  • Define reporting, forecasting & insight protocols
  • Work closely with operational, commercial, technical, finance and people teams to keep everyone aligned
  • Ensure transformation activity is delivered without compromising operational performance, quality, welfare or safety

You will also take ownership of improving how the business understands its performance:

  • Design, build and own clear, consistent management reporting and dashboards
  • Replace fragmented or inconsistent MI with standardised, decision focused reporting
  • Improve forecasting capability, introducing forward looking planning, scenario analysis and early warning indicators
  • Translate complex operational and financial data into simple, actionable insight
  • Ensure reporting focuses on outcomes, delivery against plan and value realised, not just activity

This role will suit someone who has:

  • Senior experience leading large, complex programmes or transformation initiatives
  • A track record of delivery in operational, manufacturing, FMCG, agricultural or asset heavy environments
  • Strong commercial understanding of cost, margin and performance drivers
  • Experience working directly with executive teams and boards
  • Proven ability to build reporting and forecasting capability from the ground up
  • Experience operating across multi site, geographically dispersed operations

Personal style & approach:

  • Hands on and delivery focused, not just strategic
  • Can simplify complexity and make pragmatic decisions
  • Credible with senior leaders and operational teams alike
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving pace
  • Able to balance challenge with support
  • Analytically strong, numerate and confident working with data

Remuneration: Competitive salary (commensurate with your profile) + bonus Company car/allowance Executive benefits package
