As Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the sharp end of supplier development. Winning new business, growing existing relationships and helping farmers make the right decisions around genetics and calf purchasing.
You’ll have plenty of freedom to build your own network, develop your patch and make a real commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and onboard new suppliers in line with agreed targets
- Generate leads through genetic companies, marketing initiatives and your existing network
- Develop and grow strong, long-term supplier relationships
- Ensure suppliers deliver against their agreed calf supply commitments
- Advise and support dairy farmers on genetic selection and calf purchasing
- Carry out supplier reviews and identify opportunities to improve performance
- Build new business and uncover opportunities across the Southwest
About You:
- A background in dairy, beef or the wider livestock industry is highly desirable
- Sales or business development experience is essential
- Strong relationship-building skills and the confidence to get in front of farmers
- Commercially minded, self-motivated and hungry to win new business
- Genetics knowledge would be a real advantage
- Comfortable managing your own diary and travelling extensively across the region
- Full UK driving licence is essential
