Are you an experienced arable professional with high standards, ready to take on key responsibilities in the management of a large arable operation on an historic estate in Hampshire? We are searching for someone with commercial acumen, a strong practical background in cereal farming and a drive towards leadership. They will take on the big responsibility of managing a team of operators as well as planning and coordinating the drilling, spraying and fertiliser spreading programme. They will be required to be relief operator wherever needed. This farm business is run to a high standard with a focus on producing premium grade grain. The successful candidate will take on management responsibilities for over 2000 acres of arable in Hampshire, growing milling wheat, malting barley, OSR, and maize for silage, with a view to taking on more responsibility over time. As well as the arable, there is also potential to be involved in the running of over 1000 acres of commercial forestry, several SFI schemes, an AD plant and a commercial silage clamp.

- Managing a team of three arable operators
- Maintenance/Servicing of Machinery
- Grain Store Management
- Administrative responsibilities and Record Keeping
- Executing a large budget
- Decisions around Harvest operations
- Coordinating Spraying and Fert Spreading programme
- Relief Operating Machinery where needed
- Liaising with estate management and employees
You will have:
- Considerable experience of large scale arable farming or contracting
- Operating experience on a Sprayer, Combine, and Forage Harvester
- PA1, PA2 Minimum (PA6 advantageous)
- Team Leadership Skills
- Strong Communication Skills
- Administrative experience (with Omnia Software)
- Commercial Acumen and Drive
- Degree in Agriculture (not essential)
- BASIS and FACTS (advantageous)
