The Vacancy
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Materials Management, Planning, Customer Service and Logistics Department and all of the systems used to manage the flow of materials in the distribution and manufacturing stages.

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Materials Management, Planning, Customer Service and Logistics Department and all of the systems used to manage the flow of materials in the distribution and manufacturing stages.
Using customer information, the Supply chain function establishes schedules for ordering materials and maintaining an efficient inventory. Working with the Plant Manager and the site Finance team the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for delivering savings relating to working capital reduction and associated costs. The Supply chain Manager is also responsible for ensuring material planning aligns to order book fulfilment meeting Customer OTIF as well as supplier OTIF management, finding new suppliers as and when needed for both production and non-production materials as well as supplier management and development.
Qualification And Experience Required
- A degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
- Minimum of five years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems with long and short term implications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people.
- Proven track record of working in procurement in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in commercial and legal construction of Supplier agreements.
- Excellent track record of effective management of Suppliers and continuous improvement.
