The Vacancy Start date: 01 April 2025 - 18 month fixed term contract.
Shift pattern: From 1st April to 30 June 2025, you will be working Tuesday to Thursday, 6am - 6pm. From 1st July 2025, we will move to a Double Day shift pattern - Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm or 2pm - 10pm (alternated weekly).
Starting salary: £31,019 per annum, rising to £31,679 on successful completion of 3-month probation. Moving to £39,599 when working Double Day shift. Plus highly competitive overtime payments.
The role: Due to expansion at our manufacturing site near Loughton Essex, we are looking to recruit a Security Auditor to join our growing team. This role will establish, implement, maintain, follow up on identified issues and continually improve a Security Audit Program covering Physical, Product and Transportation Security aspects, processes, policies and procedures. This will ensure compliance and minimize security risks throughout the production chain affecting DLR operations.
Duties within the role include, but are not limited to:
- Establish and maintain a security internal audit plan highlighting elements to be audited and their frequency on a day-to-day basis.
- Conduct internal audits as per established plan ensuring sound communication with auditees prior to the audit to ensure efficient execution of audit.
- Audit all areas regularly to maintain high security presence, addressing and reporting all anomalies according to internal procedures.
- Report audit findings in a structured manner and maintain adequate record-keeping of all audit work sheets, checklists and reports.
- Input Nonconformities, Observations and/or Opportunities for Improvements in a central database in order to facilitate communication with the process owner.
- Actively participate and assist in all improvement suggestions including conducting investigations to resolve issues and managing projects.
- Assist in the monitoring of security processes and advising production staff of the correct security procedures.
To be successful in your application, we are looking for applications from individuals who can demonstrate:
- Security qualification- City and Guilds, BTEC, SIA, NVQ or similar with security team experience (technical).
- Product Security experience (technical).
- Security auditing experience (technical).
- Problem solving experience (technical).
- Computer literate- experience working with databases, Word, Excel or similar.
- Coordinating, moderating a team of people for problem solving.
