We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Team Member to join our team at our site in Loughton, Essex.

Reporting to the Quality Control FLM, you will be involved in testing, inspection and auditing our banknotes, assuring that manufactured products meet the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support the team in achieving departmental & site targets.
  • Ensure that all checks and supporting documentation as applicable, are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Liaise with stakeholders as necessary to support/escalate quality events and actions.

E. g.

In-Process – escalate quality issues, agree containment, ensure relevant notifications are raised & support investigations.

Final LOTs – escalate failures, mitigate delivery gaps where possible, ensuring relevant notifications are raised.

  • Support Customer/Supplier investigations if required.
  • Facilitate shift handovers, to ensure effective cross shift communication.
  • Active participation in continuous improvement, working closely with the team to develop working practices.

: Double Day shift pattern – Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm or 2pm - 10pm (alternated weekly).

From 31st August 2026, we will transition to a 24/5 Shift Pattern - consists of 3 crews of 12-hour shifts of either: 6.00 am to 6.00 pm; and 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, Monday to Friday rota.

Attendance is 40 hours per week on average, including a 30-minute unpaid break plus a 15-minute unpaid break to be taken during the shift

Basic Salary

: £39,031 per annum on Double Days, rising to £41,313 per annum on 24/5 shift pattern.

Upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period, this will rise to £43,823 per annum.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Good attention to detail, good eyesight and the ability to discern colour.
  • A background within a quality control focused role.
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Effective and concise communicator.
  • Experience in taking/recording results via the use of measuring equipment.
  • Problem solving experience preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure
