We have an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to join our team at our site in Loughton, Essex. Reporting to the Site Operations Systems and Process Manager, you will be a driving force for change and will be responsible for identifying, facilitating and implementing process improvements across our operations. To do this, you will use modern and lean manufacturing methods, involving and coaching/training your colleagues from all areas of the organisation. This is a fantastic role for someone who loves variety, thrives on collaboration, and finds motivation in seeing measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead CI projects using Lean Six Sigma and Kata, ensuring clear objectives, structured plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Analyse operational data, apply SPC techniques and use KPI to identify trends, diagnose issues and drive improvement actions.
  • Implement process optimisation initiatives, introducing improved ways of working, lean tools and equipment or workflow enhancements.
  • Drive 5S and workplace‑organisation standards through audits, coaching and ongoing reinforcement.
  • Support daily operational reviews, ensuring issues are captured, actions assigned and progress monitored.
  • Conduct post‑job reviews to confirm results, capture lessons learned and ensure improvements are sustained.
  • Coach and support teams in CI tools and methodologies, building capability across the organisation.

Contract type Permanent

Working hours Days – 09:00 to 17:00 Mon- Fri with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day (37.5 hours per week)

Base location Debden

Basic Salary £42,400 per annum, rising to £43,386 per annum upon successful completion of a 6‑month probationary period

Skills, Qualifications And Experience

  • Degree, HND or equivalent in Engineering (desirable)
  • Experienced in the practical application of lean manufacturing and a wide variety of lean tools
  • Experience in Six Sigma DMAIC
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Extensive experience in working in process improvement
  • Track record of project management and highly developed planning skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, Excel and other office packages
  • Experience in Minitab, Power BI and other data analytic tools (desirable)
