We’re looking for a Project Manager with proven experience delivering digital projects end-to-end in an agency or similar environment. This role is about more than keeping projects organised. It’s about owning delivery, bringing structure to complexity and making sure work is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
You’ll be working across web, eCommerce and digital marketing projects, coordinating teams, managing timelines and acting as the person clients trust to keep things on track. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and confident managing both delivery and client communication, not just following a plan.
Why This Role Exists
At Laser Red, we deliver a wide range of projects across web, eCommerce and digital marketing; often involving multiple teams, moving parts and dependencies. Without strong project management, things can quickly become unclear, inefficient or misaligned. This role exists to bring structure, clarity and control to delivery, ensuring that projects are not just completed, but delivered in a way that is organised, predictable and high quality.
Project Managers play a key role in:
- Keeping teams aligned and focused
- Making sure clients feel informed and confident
- Ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget
- Identifying and resolving issues before they become problems
Ultimately, this role helps ensure that everything we deliver meets the standard our clients expect, and that the experience of working with Laser Red is as strong as the work itself.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Delivery & Execution
- Own projects end-to-end across your client portfolio
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across design, development and marketing
- Coordinate across internal teams, ensuring briefs are clear and handoffs are smooth
- Remove blockers and keep delivery moving forward
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to quality standards
Project Planning & Methodology
- Contribute to project discovery and early-stage planning
- Support scoping conversations to ensure projects are set up for success
- Create clear, structured project plans from scope through to delivery
- Define timelines, milestones, dependencies and resource requirements
- Choose and apply the right delivery approach (Agile, Waterfall or hybrid)
- Use tools like Basecamp (project communication) and Fivecast (our internal capacity and planning tool) confidently day-to-day
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Own day-to-day client communication throughout project delivery
- Lead client meetings and manage expectations proactively
- Act as the person clients trust to keep projects on track
- Handle challenges and difficult conversations confidently
- Proactively flag risks and keep clients informed before issues arise
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage project budgets and track costs across your portfolio
- Make informed decisions around scope vs budget trade-offs
- Identify and manage scope creep early
- Report clearly on budgets, timelines and delivery status
Risk & Quality Management
- Proactively identify risks across timelines, budgets and delivery quality
- Develop mitigation plans and take action early
- Own QA gates across your projects — ensuring nothing goes live without meeting standards
- Ensure deliverables align with briefs and client expectations
- Know when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate
Process & Systems
- Use Laser Red’s project management tools and processes consistently
- Maintain structured, organised project environments
- Own documentation standards across your projects
- Produce clear notes, updates and follow-ups
- Contribute to the PM knowledge base, improving processes and templates
Documentation
