The Sub-contractor/Supply Chain Analyst supports effective management of subcontracted supply, extended-workbench service providers, supply chain data, and system integrity to ensure continuity of supply, operational stability, and informed decision making. The role provides analytical, coordination, and execution support across subcontractor performance, supply chain planning systems, and operational reporting. This is a critical supply chain enablement role working closely with planning, operations, and suppliers.
Duties & Tasks:
- Sub-contractor & External Supply Support: Support day to day performance monitoring of subcontractors and external supply partners; Track delivery, capacity, and compliance against agreed supply commitments; Highlight risks, constraints, or deviations in subcontracted supply; Support escalation of supply performance issues to Supply Chain Manager.
- Supply Chain Analysis & Reporting: Generate, maintain, and analyse supply chain KPIs related to subcontracted supply; Provide regular insights on delivery performance, lead times, constraints, and trends; Support data driven decision making through accurate, timely analysis.
- Supply Planning & System Support: Support supply chain planning processes within MRP/ERP environments; Maintain supply chain master data integrity relating to subcontracted operations; Perform ongoing data governance checks to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
- Cross Functional Coordination: Act as supply chain functional support across Operations, Planning, Quality, and Engineering; Participate in workshops and working sessions to clarify supply requirements and constraints; Support (but not lead) supply chain improvement initiatives and system changes; Apply lean supply chain principles to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities; Support adoption of best-in-class supply chain practices; Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data, insight, and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years’ experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, or planning environment.
- Exposure to subcontracted or external supply operations.
- Experience working with ERP/planning systems (e.g. SAP, JDE, Oracle).
- Experience producing and analysing operational KPIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and data discipline.
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently within defined accountability.
