Overview
The Education & Training department was set up by De Beers Group in 2008 and is designed to focus on boosting natural diamond sales and consumer confidence across the diamond industry. The team provides a suite of services including: accredited technical training (online and in-person courses); B2B2C retail training via our global App; hands-on workshops to support events such as press/trade fairs; corporate support for wider projects such as museum and gallery partnerships; internal staff training on diamond topics for De Beers Group employees.
The Content Editor will be responsible for designing, creating, posting and monitoring global assets and content. This role has a heavy digital and social focus, but PowerPoints for meetings/presentations, written materials (handouts, etc.) and static graphics for posters are also required. Strong cross-functional collaboration is essential. A Super-User status in the Content Management System will be part of the role. The role also involves physical support for events and courses at UK offices (London and Maidenhead) and coordinating all movement of kit with local facilities teams. The Content Editor will act as a guardian for students when they are in our locations, providing welcomes and facilitating breaks/movement around our offices.

- Internal: The wider educational subject matter experts, Group and country-based marketing teams, globally placed training teams, Group Functions including legal, facilities and finance, Research & Development teams.
- External: Marketing and educational agencies, client (Sightholders & Retailers) marketing & training teams within external companies, media agencies, design agencies and technical partners.
Key Responsibilities
- App Content Creation
- Become a Super-User in our Content Management System (training will be provided)
- Use Adobe Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) to develop assets for upload into the Education App
- Develop short animations and videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
- Use InDesign for offline materials such as PDFs
- Create engaging and interactive PPT decks
- General Asset Development
- Create various asset styles for event/in-person courses as well as print-based materials
- Create digital marketing materials to promote educational activities (web banners, leaflets, posters, etc.)
- Manage post-course questionnaires and create decks for presenting the results
- Create decks to present other results in partnership with the Director of Education
- Stakeholder Management
- Regularly work with technical agencies for App management in the UK and our HK/China-based solution
- Collaborate with internal facilities teams to organise practicalities for in-person courses in London and Maidenhead
- Work with subject matter experts globally to ensure assets are technically accurate and fit for purpose
- Coordinate with global Comms, Digital and Marketing teams as required
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years proven digital content creation and editing experience
- Social media and digital content creation experience
- Experience delivering optimised content across web browsers and mobile devices
- Experience analyzing social media metrics is advantageous
- International experience or multi-language team exposure is advantageous
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Culturally sensitive relationship builder
- Strategic and creative thinker with ability to contribute to content planning
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build credible relationships
- Previous luxury brand/retail experience is advantageous
- Proactive with the ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines
- Ability to build effective working relationships and influence others to gain alignment
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
Technical Experience
- Knowledge and experience using Adobe Suite
- Experience editing HTML and optimising images and videos for the web
- Understanding of SEO is beneficial
- Experience configuring and using social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Understanding/experience of Chinese social media is an advantage
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards
- Experience with image/film editing tools such as Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro
- Advanced usage of PowerPoint/Captivate (or equivalents)
- Experience with CMS for web and mobile app content management
