Overview
Finance Manager – Technology at De Beers Group. This role focuses on professional accounting services for Product and Technology Development (PTD), ensuring quality, integrity, and timely processing of PTD operational finance transactions (including working, project and capital expenditures). The position requires collaboration with the Midstream Finance team to support business planning and performance reporting for PTD and to provide insightful analysis for senior management.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the PTD finance calendar and manage the financial month end.
- Ensure the completeness and integrity of the trial balance.
- Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform accurate and timely billing of all material sales in NAV/Business Central.
- Perform control reconciliations between NAV and SAP.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and internal and external auditors.
- Review and document business processes, develop procedures, and apply internal control and governance procedures.
- Maintain contract register and headcount file for Maidenhead.
- Manage Maidenhead credit cards and monitor spend to ensure alignment with policy.
- Vendor and customer master data control in NAV.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations including VAT review prior to submission to London office.
- Ensure IFRS compliance in line with Group reporting requirements.
- Work with the Group Tax function on R&D tax credit requests.
- Support annual stock takes and preliminary physical stock verifications.
- Operational Support: maintain Price Book Model, oversee operational cost planning, and support financial model reviews for projects and advisory work.
- Stock Level Analysis and storage optimization; manage rental models and insurance/audit coordination with Facilities; co-develop business cases.
- Business Planning And Performance Reporting: contribute to long-term plans, coordinate budgets/forecasts in Onestream, lead monthly financial reviews with VPs and Cost Centre Managers, prepare management reports highlighting key issues and trends, provide insightful analysis for business units, and support transfer pricing guidance and cost control.
- Costing support for projects, products, and services.
- Compliance And Administration: advise on movement of equipment within agreed annual values and provide governance support to Operations.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (2-3 years PQE) from an auditing background; ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred.
- Experience handling ad hoc queries from senior stakeholders, preparing reports and presentations; strong critical thinking.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements and demonstrate commercial acumen.
- Proficient with SAP and Microsoft NAV/Business Central is advantageous; strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Technical accounting knowledge and UK statutory reporting experience; experience in budgets and forecasts.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders across DBUK, Midstream, and other group companies; understanding governance, risk and compliance implications.
- Background checks: successful candidates will undergo background screening including criminal checks and qualification validation.
