The Diamond Centre Coordinator is the driving force behind the seamless movement of diamonds across our global product creation ecosystem. Sitting at the heart of sourcing, development and operational excellence, the Coordinator ensures every stone is accounted for, every movement is traceable and every allocation supports the creative and commercial ambitions of the House.
As the key connector between the Polished Division, Product teams, Suppliers and internal operations, the Coordinator transforms complexity into clarity anticipating needs, resolving challenges and enabling the timely delivery of diamonds for Couture, High Jewellery and Special Orders.
With a sharp analytical mindset, a deep respect for precision and an unwavering commitment to ethical sourcing and compliance, the Coordinator safeguards the integrity of our diamond supply chain. This role not only supports today’s operations but actively shapes the future of the Diamond Centre, driving continuous improvement and elevating the standards by which we source, track and deliver our most precious materials.
Main Responsibilities- Oversee the end to end tracking, processing and allocation of diamonds throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring complete accuracy, traceability and alignment with internal standards.
- Maintain reliable, up to date diamond movement data across SAP, dashboards and internal trackers, ensuring full visibility for cross functional teams.
- Coordinate the flow of diamonds through internal and external grading labs, monitoring progress, updating certification results and escalating risks or delays where necessary.
- Uphold inventory integrity through accurate reconciliation, stock visibility and proactive management of consignment and movement records.
- Partner closely with the DBG Polished Division to secure polished diamonds and melee for Couture, High Jewellery, Novelty and Special Orders, ensuring timely allocation and clarity on availability.
- Provide product teams with early visibility of diamond options, costs, timelines and technical specifications to support development, client requests and special orders.
- Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders to provide clear updates on sourcing progress, constraints, risks and upcoming requirements.
- Support the Diamond Centre Manager in building medium to long term sourcing forecasts by providing data insights, inventory visibility and supplier performance analytics.
- Identify sourcing risks, constraints or delays early and support fast, effective issue resolution to ensure diamonds are delivered on time and in full.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards that track KPIs, lead times, sourcing performance and operational throughput, using insights to drive accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain compliant documentation for rough and polished shipments, ensuring alignment with Customs, Kimberley Process, G7 regulations and DBL ethical sourcing standards.
- Support audit readiness, compliance monitoring and the maintenance of all required sourcing and certification documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workflow efficiency, scalability and accuracy across sourcing, processing, documentation and data management.
- Support the implementation of new tools, processes and operational frameworks introduced by the Manager, championing operational excellence and future ready ways of working.
- Proven experience within high value, high precision or luxury supply chain environments, with a strong foundation in procurement, operations or diamond sourcing.
- Deep understanding of diamond grading, sourcing and jewellery development processes, with the confidence to navigate technical requirements and support complex product lifecycles.
- A rigorous, detail driven approach to accuracy, traceability and data integrity, consistently upholding the highest operational and ethical standards.
- Strong analytical capability, able to interpret data, manage multiple workstreams and maintain clarity and structure in fast moving environments.
- High proficiency in Excel and SAP, with the ability to work confidently across dashboards, trackers and reporting tools; familiarity with PowerQuery or Power BI is advantageous.
- Highly numerical, organised and comfortable working through intricate, time sensitive processes with precision and discipline.
- Clear, concise communication skills that support effective cross functional alignment and build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative mindset, contributing positively to team culture while understanding the critical role this position plays within the broader supply chain.
- Confident, solutions oriented and able to work autonomously, with strong judgement on when to escalate issues or risks.
