De Aston School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our friendly and supportive team.
This is a rewarding and varied role that plays a vital part in ensuring continuity of learning when teachers are absent. Working under the direction of the Cover Manager, you will supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring students remain engaged, focused and productive while completing work set by their teachers.
You will not be expected to teach new material, but you will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, managing classroom behaviour, supporting students in their learning, and upholding school policies and procedures.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone interested in a career in education. We are committed to supporting colleagues who wish to progress into teaching and can provide guidance with applications for teacher training.

Hours: 32.5 per week (Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm), term time only (39 weeks + 5.6 weeks paid holiday)
