We are seeking a vibrant and dedicated Disability Support Worker (DDSO1/1Q) who has a passion for creating meaningful opportunities for people with disability to belong and thrive.
Location: 59 Churinga Avenue, Mitcham
Work Type: Permanent Part-Time
Hours: 53.50 (FN1:28.25, FN2:25.25)
About the role:
- Provide respectful, person-centred support that promotes dignity and independence
- Support participants with daily living, personal care, health routines, and community access
- Experience supporting behaviours of concern (BOC) using calm, consistent approaches
- Knowledge of epilepsy support, including recognising and responding to seizures
- Follow behaviour support plans, routines, and safety procedures
- Use clear communication and de-escalation skills
- Work independently and maintain accurate documentation
- Reliable, patient, and supportive in every shift
- Certificate IV in Disability (or equivalence) is highly desirable
- Must be available to work all shifts listed in roster
