4-month contract

We are seeking an experienced professional standards specialist to lead the review and modernisation of a Code of Professional Conduct for a multi-disciplinary, multi-jurisdiction membership organisation. This is not a general project management role. The successful candidate will bring direct experience of professional standards, ethics, or regulatory frameworks, and will play an active role in shaping and drafting a principles-based Code that reflects emerging professional, ethical, and digital challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end review and update of the Code of Professional Conduct
  • Conduct stakeholder consultation and benchmarking against best-practice Codes
  • Work with subject-matter experts to draft and refine a principles-based Code
  • Present proposals to senior stakeholders and governance committees
  • Support implementation through communications and training planning

Requirements

  • Proven experience drafting, reviewing, or implementing a Code of Conduct or professional standards framework
  • Experience working within professional standards, ethics, compliance, or regulatory environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver a defined piece of work within a fixed timeframe
  • Background in law, private client services, wealth management, accounting, or professional education
  • Experience within a professional or membership body
