An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join the brigade at a luxury country hotel and golf resort set within stunning grounds in Northumberland. This is a fantastic role for a strong Senior Sous Chef looking to work within a high-quality kitchen operation focused on fresh food, seasonal ingredients, and delivering exceptional dining experiences across both restaurant and clubhouse operations.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the kitchen whilst supporting, mentoring, and leading the brigade to maintain consistently high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Head Chef with the daily management of the kitchen operation.
  • Leading the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence.
  • Maintaining consistently high food standards across all services.
  • Supporting with menu development using fresh, seasonal produce.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior chefs within the brigade.
  • Assisting with stock control, ordering, and food cost management.
  • Ensuring all food hygiene and health standards are met.
  • Helping to deliver smooth and efficient service during busy periods.
