Workplace description: This hotel is one of the leading luxury hotels in Devon and the West Country. Standing in five acres of beautifully landscaped grounds it overlooks Sidmouth bay, and it is just a short stroll from the centre of this elegant resort town. The hotel offers first-class cuisine. Each day our chefs select the freshest ingredients sourced wherever possible from trusted Devon suppliers to create delicious table d'hôte and à la carte menus that will surprise and delight you. The luxurious en-suite bedrooms are beautifully furnished, and most have private balconies facing south with exceptional sea views of the beautiful Sidmouth seafront.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • You will support the Head Housekeeper in every aspect of housekeeping management and will ensure that hotel standards are delivered at all times.
  • Carry out routine inspections of all housekeeping areas and report any issues back to the Head Housekeeper.
  • Have a proven ability to work within a budget and control stock.
  • Have experience of staff training and development.
  • Have experience in implementing and maintaining Health and Safety Standards.

Essential criteria:

  • You will be a strong Housekeeper with supervisory experience to lead the small team and clean and maintain the high standards that this establishment sets.
  • You will show attention to detail and be a well-organised individual.
  • You should have at least 6-12 months experience in a housekeeping role where you have gained supervisory experience and you will have worked within 4/5* hotels.
  • You must be very hands-on as this is a very busy operation.
