Workplace description: This 13th-century hotel offers medieval features and picturesque gardens. It boasts individual bedrooms with antique furniture, a TV, CD player and tea/coffee facilities. The local beach is just 1 miles away.
The restaurant serves modern British food, while the cosy bar offers a traditional menu. There is a pretty garden with an outside seating area. Some of the rooms feature elegant four-poster beds. Set on a hillside in the quaint town of Dunster, the hotel is just 5 minutes’ walk from Dunster Castle.
Main duties and responsibilities: Maintaining and cleaning all public areas in the hotel, bar and restaurants. Cleaning all rooms to a high standard ensuring any issues are forwarded to the relevant department. Helping to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction in all areas with the rest of the team. You may also need to work in other areas of the business at busy times i.e breakfast service. You will be required to 5 days out of 7 including weekends, hours may vary at busy times. Applicants should be flexible with working hours and must be available at weekends.
Essential criteria: The ideal candidate will be a people person, who is keen on providing a high quality and friendly customer experience and a stickler for high levels of cleanliness. Prior housekeeping & cleaning experience in a hotel is most advantageous.
