Workplace description: Set in 2 acres of tranquil wooded gardens, this privately owned family-run hotel with panoramic views of Borrowdale Valley, serves traditional British cuisine and local Lakeland produce, including lamb, game and fish. There is an extensive wine list, and guests can also enjoy afternoon tea in the cosy lounge by the open fire.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- You must be passionate and have the ability to cope under pressure, be enthusiastic and professional.
- Will work straight shifts where possible, but also be flexible for splits.
- Be able to run your own section.
- Must be willing to learn under the wing of the Head chef and Sous with the desire to progress.
- Be a team player with a bright personality.
- A consistent performer with great attention to detail, using fresh and local produce where possible.
Essential criteria:
- Must have experience working in at least a 1 Rosette standard establishment and to have been in the role of Chef de Partie for a minimum of 2 years in total.
- Pastry experience would be most advantageous.
