DDC was founded with the purpose of safeguarding vulnerable patients, care home residents and front‑line clinicians from the risk of infectious diseases through engineering innovation. Since 1991 we have designed, engineered and continually developed machinery, including bedpan washer disinfectors, medical pulp macerators and incontinence product macerators. We manufacture equipment at our UK Support Centre based in Poole, Dorset, and export our products all over the world.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer at DDC you’ll be on the move repairing, installing and maintaining moving and handling equipment across the UK (primarily in the West Midlands Area). You will be hands on, keeping things running smoothly and solving problems daily. You will be working on a range of equipment such as mobile and overhead hoist systems.
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
- Providing excellent customer service
- Keeping up to date with the latest industry training (LOLER/PUWER)
About You
You are a skilled engineer or mechanic that enjoys working independently and appreciates the importance of keeping equipment well maintained in line with appropriate regulations. You take great pride in your work, delivering great service and solving problems. You are:
- Experienced in a similar role
- Analytical with great fault‑finding and repair skills
- Hands‑on and practical in approach
- Clear with communication and customer focused
- Organised and able to prioritise workload
- Licensed to drive in the UK (clean license highly desirable)
