The opportunity:

We’re seeking a Senior Account Director to lead high-level client partnerships, strategic leadership and agency growth. With deep expertise in healthcare communications, you’ll drive impactful, multi-channel solutions that set new industry standards. As a trusted advisor and client partner, you’ll own key accounts, delivering innovative strategies and business solutions while navigating complex, multi-stakeholder projects with precision. You’ll ensure all work is strategically sound, creatively bold and flawlessly executed. In this senior leadership role, you’ll inspire and guide Account Directors, Managers and Executives, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. What we’ll need you to do:

  • Client strategy and leadership: Lead high-value client relationships, acting as the primary contact and trusted advisor for senior stakeholders. Build lasting partnerships at the highest level. Drive strategic discussions and collaboratively develop impactful proposals with the strategy team. Define strategic goals, ensuring all work aligns with objectives, delivers results and drives growth. Create clear, strategic client briefs that align needs with agency capabilities and enable impactful campaigns. Lead key client meetings, presenting strategic, business, or creative solutions while refining client vision and ensuring alignment. Anticipate client needs and deliver proactive, strategic solutions to address challenges and achieve success. Deeply understand your clients’ business, goals, and brand plan, applying it seamlessly to inform decisions and drive action. Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to clients, providing expert guidance on creative direction, brand strategy and healthcare communication solutions.
  • Project management and delivery: Lead the development and delivery of strategic project plans that align with client requirements and effectively account for internal resources, talent and workflows. Oversee the successful execution of highly complex, high-value, multi-channel projects, managing senior-level stakeholders, timelines, budgets and resources with precision. Ensure all work is delivered to the highest quality standards, on time, and within budget, maintaining seamless execution from concept to completion. Collaborate with strategic, creative, production, and project management teams to deliver solutions that exceed client expectations and achieve impactful results. Maintain oversight of deliverables at every stage, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with client objectives. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Account Directors, Managers, and junior team members, ensuring effective task delegation and deadline management. Take ownership of P&L for the accounts under your stewardship, ensuring profitable growth and financial health. Monitor project profitability, proactively addressing financial challenges and resolving issues early to maintain strong account performance. Oversee the development and management of budgets, timelines and client forecasts, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting throughout. Conduct regular financial health checks and take larger responsibility for month-end reporting and forecasting in collaboration with Business Directors. Proactively identify opportunities for process optimisation to drive greater value.
  • Business growth and strategy: Identify significant opportunities for account growth and strategically expand client relationships, increasing revenue and strengthening accounts. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and present compelling new business proposals, pitches, and presentations to drive agency growth. Play a key role in setting and achieving business development goals, actively contributing to the agency’s long-term growth strategy. Collaborate with senior leadership on the agency’s long-term vision, identifying opportunities for diversification and innovation in service offerings.
  • Team leadership and development: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of Account Directors, Account Managers and Executives, ensuring they are supported, inspired and continually receiving coaching to grow professionally. Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture aligned with agency values, encouraging innovation and creativity.   • Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership, creatives, strategists, project managers and production teams to ensure seamless project delivery and high-quality results. Coordinate with internal and external partners to source resources, tools, and materials needed to execute campaigns successfully. Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment where talent thrives and innovation flourishes. Leverage senior talent and diverse perspectives to elevate work and deliver impactful results. Maintain clear, consistent communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency. Collaborate with cross-department teams to achieve agency goals, enhance the agency culture and spearhead agency-wide initiatives.
