Reporting to: Creative Director – Design

About DDB Remedy: We strive to be the most innovative and inspiring creative healthcare agency in the world, making things happen. Through deep partnerships, smart strategy and applied creativity, we create exceptional experiences and communications. We make meaningful change in healthcare happen. Our ethos? It Happens Here. It’s our promise, our challenge, and our invitation.

The opportunity: An exciting opportunity for a Senior Brand Designer to join our growing, award‑winning, creative team with big ambitions. The primary focus is brand identity development but working on everything from print, digital and experiential. The Senior Brand Designer will report into the Creative Director of Design and will manage and mentor at least one direct report, but we’ll want your impact felt across the team. Collaborating with talent across the agency, as well as external partners and freelance resources, the Senior Brand Designer will be responsible for driving the vision of their allocated brands delivering an industry‑leading design product each and every time.

About you: We’re looking for someone who loves design, specifically brand design, someone who notices the little things in life, the weird, the quirky, someone with a relentless passion for “what good looks like”. You’ll know what makes a great brand and how to tell compelling stories to make it shine. You have natural instinct and flair for making the ordinary look extraordinary, you’ll be a master of your craft, one who can bring a different perspective to each challenge and (like us) won’t settle until it’s right. You’re going to be a figurehead in the team, and others will look to you for guidance and opinion, so you’ll need to be diplomatic and brave; you’ll instinctively know when to listen and when to speak up. You won’t be afraid to say you don’t know, but you will then go and figure it out. If you’re looking to grow and want to challenge yourself to produce best‑in‑class work that matters, get in touch.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior‑level brand design role, ideally within an agency or highly regulated environment
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability for end‑to‑end brand projects, from brief to delivery
  • A passion and ability to create award‑winning work
  • Experience running or co‑leading brand workshops, sprints or co‑creation sessions
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with a strong portfolio of brand identity and integrated 360Âş campaigns
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems, brand guidelines and shared resources
  • Skills in delegation, prioritisation and time management, balancing innovation with right‑first‑time delivery
  • Strong presentation skills—confident in presenting to senior clients, rationalising decisions and defending creative approaches
  • Collaborative, diplomatic and process‑driven mindset—able to work with strategy, copy, dev, PMs and science/medical writers
  • Ability to provide clear creative direction and timely feedback, and a pragmatic, solution‑oriented approach to critical feedback
  • Expert level in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, but you are keen to keep learning
  • Empathy and team support: Skilled at managing your own and others’ stress, recognising team needs and fostering a positive, collaborative culture
  • Commitment to continuous improvement: Open to feedback, seeks opportunities to optimise processes and contributes to agency best practices
  • Confidence in challenging and improving briefs and workflows, always seeking better ways of working

What we’ll need you to do:

  • Own brand projects end‑to‑end: Lead from initial briefing to final delivery, proactively managing progress and ensuring client needs, timelines and regulatory requirements are met
  • Interrogate and refine briefs: Ask questions, clarify objectives and ensure every project is set up for success before design begins
  • Translate brand strategies and insights into visually stunning, innovative and compliant brand identities that set new standards for healthcare branding
  • Generate original, future‑facing ideas and visual concepts that drive recognition and differentiation for our clients
  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver integrated 360Âş brand experiences
  • Champion and help evolve agency design systems, brand guidelines and workflow improvements, ensuring consistency and scalability of brand assets
  • Mentor, onboard and upskill junior/midweight designers: Provide structured feedback, run critique sessions and support professional growth
  • Foster a culture of regular check‑ins, structured feedback and collaborative dialogue within the team and across projects
  • Lead by example in time management and delegation, focusing your energy on high‑value tasks and supporting the well‑being of the team
  • Present and defend brand work with confidence to both internal and client teams, articulating creative rationale and business impact
  • Contribute to award submissions, case studies and agency thought leadership
  • Manage multiple projects from concept through completion, balancing priorities and timelines
  • Be passionate about, and contribute to, building a positive, inclusive and collaborative agency culture
