As an Associate Senior Writer, you are a key contributor and trusted team member. You will take dayâtoâday responsibility for the copy output of your team, and know when to escalate to a more senior writer or your line manager. You will also support and mentor more junior writers, helping to build a culture of quality, creativity and learning.
You will partner with strategy and creative teams to craft content that is onâbrand, medically accurate, and deeply engaging. You will bring clarity to complex scientific concepts and contribute to the strategic and creative direction of the work. As your confidence and craft grow, so will your role â whether thatâs leading presentations, owning brand messaging, or helping guide clients through challenging communication problems.
About You
You bring both rigour and creativity to the table. You have a flair for transforming complex science into humanâcentred stories â and the confidence to champion ideas that push the work forward. You are collaborative, grounded and articulate, with the judgement to know when to lead, when to support, and when to escalate. You thrive in a fastâpaced environment and know how to balance originality with regulatory and brand requirements. You value quality and consistency and understand the impact great copy can have on patients, HCPs and clients alike.
What Youâll Bring
- A science degree or equivalent (unless pure creative writer)
- 4+ yearsâ experience in a healthcare agency writing role
- Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Ability to lead projects and own content across a brand
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Calmness under pressure, with strong time and task management
- Experience responding to and incorporating feedback
- Desirable but not essential: Deep knowledge of the ABPI Code and global regulatory frameworks
