About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a Group Account Director to join our senior client partner leadership team and take ownership of a portfolio of high-profile, strategically significant accounts. Combining deep expertise in healthcare communications with strategic and operational insight, you’ll lead impactful, multi‑channel campaigns that set new standards for how healthcare is communicated. As a trusted advisor and client partner, you’ll drive client strategy, act as the key liaison between clients and the agency, ensuring all work is strategically sound, creatively bold, and flawlessly executed. Key Responsibilities

Client stewardship & strategy leadership
  • Lead and oversee high‑value, strategically critical client relationships, acting as the primary contact and trusted advisor for senior stakeholders.
  • Build enduring partnerships at the highest level.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, a strategic business partner to clients—offering expert counsel on creative, strategy, brand lifecycle strategy and healthcare communication solutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of your clients’ business, goals, brand plans and challenges to craft strategic plans and initiatives that drive impactful outcomes and exceed expectations.
  • Ensure all work aligns with business objectives, delivers measurable results and fosters long‑term growth.
  • Develop clear, strategic, and inspiring client briefs that align client needs with agency capabilities to enable impactful, insight‑driven campaigns.
  • Lead senior‑level client meetings, presenting strategic, business, or creative solutions while refining client vision and ensuring alignment.

Project management and delivery
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic project plans that align with client objectives, fostering a positive internal environment by efficiently utilising resources, talent and workflows.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of highly complex, high‑value, multi‑channel campaigns, managing senior stakeholders, timelines, budgets and resources with precision.
  • Ensure all work maintains the highest quality standards, is delivered on time and stays within budget, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with strategic, creative, production and project management teams to deliver outputs that exceed expectations and achieve impactful, measurable results.
  • Provide oversight of deliverables at every stage, ensuring quality, consistency and alignment with client objectives and strategic goals.
  • Inspire, guide, and mentor Account Directors, Managers, and junior team members, ensuring effective task delegation, deadline management and professional development.
Financial And Commercial Responsibilities
  • Own the P&L for all accounts under your leadership, driving profitable growth while ensuring the financial health of each account.
  • Strategically monitor account and project profitability, addressing financial challenges proactively to maintain strong overall performance.
  • Lead the creation, management and oversight of budgets, timelines and client forecasts, ensuring accuracy and accountability in tracking and reporting.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for financial health checks, month‑end reporting, and forecasting in close collaboration with Business Directors or Senior Management Team.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation, enhancing efficiency and maximising value for both clients and the agency.
Business growth and strategy
  • Drive significant account growth by identifying and capitalising on strategic opportunities, deepening client relationships and increasing revenue streams.
  • Take a leadership role in setting and achieving business development objectives, aligning with the agency’s long‑term growth strategy.
  • Partner with senior leadership to craft and deliver persuasive new business proposals, pitches and presentations that fuel agency growth.
  • Lead pitch presentations, develop compelling proposals and represent the agency in front of prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the agency’s vision, identifying opportunities for diversification, innovation and expansion of service offerings.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, new initiatives and processes that drive operational efficiency and enhance the client experience.
