We specialise in creating social‑first content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, as well as organic and paid social management and strategy, social analytics and insights, end‑to‑end content creation and production. About You

As a Social Director, you play an integral role in the agency and have a definitive understanding of the industry we work within. You will be a key influence on the development and implementation of strategies for clients and ensure the smooth running of the account. You will be a leader and self‑starter with the ability to lead brand campaigns from the ground up. You will report to the Head of Social, UK and welcome a high level of responsibility and lead clients and projects in day‑to‑day as well as strategic planning. A clear and confident delegator, you are an excellent team player and are invested in the development of junior colleagues.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Social Strategy & Thought Leadership: Define and lead the holistic social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms. Develop long‑ and short‑term roadmaps that drive brand equity, reach, engagement, and community growth. Translate campaigns, and cultural opportunities into social‑first storytelling and content pillars. Maintain an expert‑level understanding of platform behaviour, competitive landscape, consumer insights, and cultural shifts. Demonstrate deep understanding of the creators landscape. Provide valuable insights to social media listening and measurement reports.
  • Client Operations & Services: Be the key client point of contact across key AOR accounts and lead the day‑to‑day communications across the accounts. Develop accurate and timely revenue budget and forecasts that meet and/or exceed established targets. Own the scope of work process between agency and client, ensuring profitability and efficiencies where necessary. Act as a senior resource for clients by providing high‑level counsel and strategic advice with respect to their associated brands. Participate in the overall organizational operations, including issues management, capacity planning, infrastructure development, resourcing, etc., to support new and existing client needs. Provide comprehensive and proactive communication of critical business issues (including but not limited to changes in account activities) and their impact on budget and/or forecasts to Head of Social.
  • Team Leadership & Organizational Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire the social team: SM, SSEs, SEs and Assistants on client accounts to ensure the highest quality output as well as their progression. Build team capabilities, create clear workflows, and establish operational excellence. Set expectations, provide regular coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and develop growth paths for each team member. Foster a collaborative, positive, high‑trust environment grounded in creativity and accountability. Work cross‑functionally to create workflow efficiencies to help the agency deliver to the best of its ability (i.e., with producers, designers and contemporary peers where applicable). Continuously inspire and champion creative innovation across the team, to ensure best‑in‑class social campaigns being produced.

Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience at an agency or comparable social marketing role.
  • Advanced decision‑making skills with proven ability to lead, influence, align and inspire teams, including those who are not direct reports.
  • A demonstrated skill for brand storytelling, where the brand message has to be carried alongside the demands of an audience‑first approach.
  • An excellent understanding of the social media industry and platforms.
  • Have a consistent pulse on trends, pop‑culture moments, and all things internet.
  • Highly organized and able to run multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
