We’re looking for a commercially savvy, relationship-driven Commercial Buying Manager to join our growing Commercial team at DD Group. You’ll play a vital role in shaping our product ranges, managing supplier partnerships, and ensuring our customers have access to competitive, profitable, and relevant products.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the selection of commercially viable product ranges in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
- Negotiate cost prices and trading terms with suppliers, including rebates, marketing funds, and promotions.
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Partner with internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Category Planning) to ensure smooth operations and product availability.
- Analyse sales and performance data to inform buying decisions, range reviews, and supplier performance.
- Monitor market and competitor trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Support new product introductions and lead promotional campaigns with a customer-first mindset.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, quality standards, and healthcare regulations (GDP, MHRA, FMD, and medical device directives).
What you’ll bring:
Proven leadership and negotiation skills
Strong analytical capability and Excel expertise
Knowledge of healthcare sector funding models (Primary & Secondary Care)
Understanding of healthcare regulations and distributor obligations
Experience using ERP/MI systems and project management tools
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced commercial environment
