We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our client in Leigh as a Class 1 Shunter, working Nights Monday to Friday. This is a fantastic opportunity for ongoing work with a large Haulage business.

  • £16.00ph (+ £1.93 with Hols up front = £17.93)
  • Monday-Friday
  • Starts approx 20.00
  • Ongoing work
  • Assessment/Induction required - Start Straight away
  • 6 Months Class 1 Shunting experience is required

Class 1 Night Shunter Duties:

  • Yard Shunting with Terburg or Tractor unit
  • On site work only
  • Monday – Friday
  • Full training provided
  • Routine vehicle checks and general upkeep/cleanliness of the cab
  • Making sure that the load is correctly placed and secure before driving

Essential Experience/Qualities for this position:

  • Great work ethic
  • Minimum 6 months Class 1 Shunting Experience
  • Digital Tacho Card & CPC Card
  • Be professional and presentable at all times
  • Have a flexible approach to work and changing circumstances
  • Must not hold any more than 6 points on your license
  • No IN10, TT99 or DR10
