Job Title: Welfare Officer Location: Banbury Salary : £31,475.00 Hours: 40 hours per week

– working a shift pattern including some nights and weekends based on a 6 week shift pattern.

Contract Type : Permanent Purpose of the Role: This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of service delivery and ensuring compliance with both contractual obligations and statutory regulations, specifically in relation to initial accommodation.

To provide onsite direct support to the Service Users (SUs), managing a caseload, and following procedures to meet Key Performance Objectives.

Additionally, it includes inspection and management of accommodation and associated areas used by SUs.

Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of Service Users (SUs) in Initial Accommodation.

Direct SUs to doctors, shops, and support services as needed.

Conduct visits, report incidents, and address SU issues or absconders.

Ensure timely relocation of SUs by final payment dates.

Arrange transport for SUs to accommodation or relocations.

Maintain SU health and safety through regular checks.

Manage a property portfolio, performing monthly inspections and reporting defects as needed Oversee property maintenance and address defects during inspections.

Replace or repair items following inventory guidelines.

Recommend SU relocations or property terminations for efficiency.

Ensure properties meet Health and Safety standards.

Manage stores in line with purchasing procedures.

Required Skills: Experience as a Welfare Officer or similar role.

Awareness of diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Empathetic, adaptable, and resilient.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Well-organised with effective planning abilities.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Full UK driving licence required.
