We are seeking a Trade Compliance Officer with strong Export Control experience to join a leading engineering and defence technology organisation. This is a hands-on role focused on UK export licensing, ITAR/EAR compliance, customs regulations, and regulatory interface. You will act as the subject matter expert for export control matters across Engineering, Projects, Sales and Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit UK export licence applications (OGEL, OIEL, SIEL, F680)
- Manage SPIRE / LITE administration and ECJU liaison
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, ECCN classification and DDTC requirements
- Conduct Denied Party Screening and sanctions checks (OFAC)
- Support internal and external export control audits
- Advise on customs regimes (IPR, OPR, PCC) and HS classification
- Deliver export control training across the business
- Draft voluntary disclosures where required
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Export Control / Trade Compliance
- Strong knowledge of UK Export Licensing and ECJU processes
- Practical ITAR and EAR experience
- ECCN classification expertise
