This is a hands-on senior engineering role focused on building resilient, scalable and latency-sensitive systems using Core Java / JDK 17+, microservices, distributed systems and event-driven architecture. Essential experience: Strong hands-on Core Java development, preferably JDK 17+. Proven experience building low-latency, high-throughput trading, order management or market connectivity platforms. Deep knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, memory management, garbage collection, JVM tuning and mechanical sympathy. Strong experience with performance profiling, throughput optimisation and scalable distributed architectures. Hands-on experience with microservices, asynchronous processing, messaging and event-driven integration. Experience with automated testing, performance testing, Agile and CI/CD.
