We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing independent insurance broking group for a New Business Account Executive to join their commercial team based in Manchester. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial insurance professional who enjoys winning new business, building long-term client relationships, and working in a fast-paced sales environment. The focus will be on Commercial General Insurance, including property and liability risks, with exposure to hospitality, entertainment, and licensed trade clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling inbound new business enquiries and gathering underwriting information
  • Obtaining and presenting quotations from insurers
  • Managing new business tenders and chasing instructions
  • Making outbound calls and developing new client relationships
  • Analysing client needs and providing tailored insurance solutions
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance at all times

The successful candidate will have:

  • A background in commercial insurance (essential)
  • Proven experience generating new business, through cold calling, networking etc arranging meetings etc
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A confident telephone and face-to-face manner
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
