We are recruiting for a Senior RF Engineer to join an advanced engineering business developing cutting‑edge radar, microwave and RF systems for defence and surveillance applications. This is a hands‑on RF engineering role focused on RF module development, antenna design, microwave PCB design, RF testing and production support within a highly technical engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • RF and microwave circuit design
  • Antenna design and array antenna development
  • RF PCB layout and schematic review
  • RF system analysis and component selection
  • Support RF manufacturing, SMT and production test
  • Validation, verification and troubleshooting of RF systems
  • Work with suppliers, quality and engineering teams
  • Support design for manufacture (DFM) and design for test (DFT)

Essential Skills

  • RF / Microwave Engineering experience
  • Antenna design experience
  • RF PCB design at microwave frequencies
  • Experience with RF components including LNAs, filters, mixers, PLLs and amplifiers
  • Familiarity with Vector Network Analysers (VNA) and Spectrum Analysers
  • Experience within radar, defence, aerospace, communications or surveillance systems
  • Manufacturing or production support experience

Desirable Skills

  • Altium Designer
  • MATLAB or Python
  • EMC knowledge
  • Radar systems or RF communications
  • Requirements verification & validation
