Production Engineer
We are recruiting for a Production Engineer to join a growing advanced manufacturing business specialising in electromechanical products.
This is an excellent opportunity to support New Product Introduction (NPI), optimise production processes, and drive continuous improvement within a high-quality manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, operating procedures and test specifications.
- Support NPI, pilot builds, DFM/DFA reviews and product transfer into production.
- Maintain production tooling, jigs, fixtures and support automation projects.
- Investigate production issues using root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, 8D, SPC and Lean methodologies.
- Analyse KPIs, improve production efficiency and reduce waste through Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and Kaizen.
- Provide technical support and training to production teams while maintaining controlled documentation.
Requirements
- Experience in Production Engineering, Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Background in electromechanical assembly including motors, sensors, PCBs, actuators or wiring.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement and quality tools.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- High-mix, low-volume manufacturing experience is advantageous.
