We are looking for an experienced GCP Senior Dev Ops Consultant to join a major cloud technology programme in London.
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GKE, Kubernetes and enterprise Dev Ops, with expertise in Infrastructure as Code, containerisation, CI/CD automation and cloud-native platform engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, automate and operate scalable cloud-native platforms on Google Cloud Platform
- Manage and support GKE/Kubernetes clusters and workloads
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
- Develop automation using Python and Bash/Shell scripting
- Build and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, including scripted pipelines using Groovy
- Manage containerised deployments using Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
- Work with GCP services including GKE, MIGs, Cloud SQL and Memorystore
- Automate build, deployment, security scanning and tooling integrations
- Troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure and deployment issues
- Support monitoring and observability integrations using tools such as Datadog, Grafana and App Dynamics
- Work across public and hybrid-cloud environments, including networking and firewall requirements
Essential Skills
- Strong hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience
- GKE and Kubernetes
- Docker and Helm
- Terraform and Ansible
- Jenkins CI/CD
- Jenkins/Groovy pipeline experience
- Python and Bash/Shell scripting
- Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting
- Git and branching strategies
- Dev Sec Ops and security scanning tools such as Sonar Qube, Checkmarx or container-scanning solutions
- Enterprise networking and firewall knowledge
