- Engineering Manager – Data Platform & Analytics

We are recruiting an Engineering Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex data platform and analytics programmes.
You will combine strong technical knowledge with programme execution, stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership, working closely with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Platform and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery of data engineering and analytics platform programmes, managing roadmaps, dependencies, risks, RAID logs and delivery plans.
- Lead technical delivery across Snowflake data warehousing, dbt transformation pipelines, Airflow and Git Hub-based development workflows.
- Drive Snowflake architecture, performance and cost optimisation, plus dbt testing, documentation and deployment governance.
- Define and enforce SDLC, CI/CD, pull request, code review, branching and release management best practice.
- Manage data quality, security, scalability, governance and compliance risks.
- Facilitate technical design discussions and communicate effectively with engineering teams and senior stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- Engineering Manager, Technical Programme Manager or Technical Project Manager background within data engineering or analytics platforms.
- Strong hands-on understanding of Snowflake, dbt, Git Hub, CI/CD and Airflow.
- Modern data stack, ETL pipelines and cloud data platform experience.
- Agile delivery and management of multiple technical workstreams.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership.
Desirable
Python, SQL, Bash; AWS, Azure or GCP; data quality and observability tools; SAFe, PMP or Agile certification; enterprise-scale data transformation experience.
