We are looking for an experienced Python Developer / Backend Developer to join a major enterprise technology programme on an initial 12-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Python engineer who enjoys building scalable backend applications, REST APIs and modern software solutions within an Agile engineering environment.
You'll join an experienced development team working on enterprise-scale projects and a long-term technology transformation programme.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Design, develop and maintain Python applications
- Build and enhance REST APIs and backend services
- Develop clean, scalable and maintainable Python code
- Work within an Agile engineering team to deliver new features
- Troubleshoot technical issues and optimise application performance
- Write well-tested, production-quality code
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
- Work with architects, testers and product teams throughout the SDLC
- Contribute to modernisation and transformation projects
Skills & Experience
- We are particularly interested in candidates with strong experience across the following:
- Python Development
- Strong commercial Python development experience
- Fast API, Flask and/or Django
- Backend application development
- RESTful API development
Desirable Skills
Experience with some of the following would be highly advantageous
