We are recruiting for a Senior RF Engineer to join an advanced engineering business developing cutting-edge radar, microwave and RF systems for defence and surveillance applications. This is a hands-on RF engineering role focused on RF module development, antenna design, microwave PCB design, RF testing and production support within a highly technical engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- RF and microwave circuit design
- Antenna design and array antenna development
- RF PCB layout and schematic review
- RF system analysis and component selection
- Support RF manufacturing, SMT and production test
- Validation, verification and troubleshooting of RF systems
- Work with suppliers, quality and engineering teams
- Support design for manufacture (DFM) and design for test (DFT)
Essential Skills
- RF / Microwave Engineering experience
- Antenna design experience
- RF PCB design at microwave frequencies
- Experience with RF components including LNAs, filters, mixers, PLLs and amplifiers
- Familiarity with Vector Network Analysers (VNA) and Spectrum Analysers
- Experience within radar, defence, aerospace, communications or surveillance systems
- Manufacturing or production support experience
Desirable Skills
- Altium Designer
- MATLAB or Python
- EMC knowledge
- Radar systems or RF communications experience
