We are recruiting an experienced Electromechanical Technician to join a high-spec electronics manufacturing environment, supporting the build and test of advanced systems used in defence, marine and RF applications. This is a hands-on technician role focused on PCB assembly, soldering, wiring and system testing within a precision engineering setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electromechanical assembly of electronic systems and sub-assemblies
- PCB soldering, rework and inspection to high-quality standards
- Wiring, crimping and cable harness assembly
- Testing, fault finding and troubleshooting of electronic units
- Working from schematics, engineering drawings and build instructions
- Supporting quality, inspection and rework activities
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an Electronics Technician / Electrical Technician / Production Technician
- Strong soldering and PCB experience (through-hole and/or surface mount)
- Experience with wiring, crimping and cable harness assembly
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Experience in assembly and test within manufacturing or engineering environments
Desirable:
- IPC certification (IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001)
- Experience in defence, aerospace, marine or RF/radar systems
