We are currently recruiting Software Engineers for a major technology programme in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for backend or full-stack engineers with strong Java/Spring Boot and Python/PySpark experience to work on scalable, data-intensive applications and modern distributed systems.

Location: Dublin, Ireland – Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite

Contract: 12 months

Positions: Multiple opportunities

Experience: Mid-Level & Senior Software Engineers

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and enhance scalable backend and full-stack applications.
  • Build production applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Develop and integrate microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Work with Python/PySpark within data-intensive applications.
  • Contribute to system design, API contracts, data flows and service integrations.
  • Work with relational databases and distributed data stores.
  • Support testing, CI/CD, observability and production-quality engineering.
  • Troubleshoot application, API, data and cloud-related issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
  • Work collaboratively within Agile engineering teams.

Essential Skills

  • Commercial software engineering experience within backend or full-stack development.
  • Strong Java development experience.
  • Strong Spring Boot experience.
  • Python and/or PySpark experience.
  • Strong experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational databases and distributed data stores.
  • Good understanding of software engineering principles, testing and production support.
  • Ability to work onsite in Dublin 3 days per week.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: Apache Spark, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, React, TypeScript, CI/CD, Automated Testing, Observability, Data-intensive Applications.
