A leading engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities within a safety-critical production environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Supporting ISO9001 compliance
  • Conducting internal and supplier audits
  • Managing NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
  • Completing First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Involvement in supplier quality activities
  • Technical documentation control
  • Calibration processes
  • Inspection activities across manufacturing operations

Key requirements:

  • Experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience conducting internal, external and supplier audits
  • Knowledge of NCRs, CAPA and quality investigations
  • Experience with FAI (First Article Inspection)
  • Hands-on inspection and metrology experience, including CMM, micrometers, calipers and height gauges
  • Engineering or manufacturing industry background
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering and suppliers

Desirable:

  • Internal or Lead Auditor certification
  • Experience within rail, aerospace, industrial machinery, precision engineering or other safety-critical sectors
  • Calibration and supplier quality experience
