A leading engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality assurance activities within a safety-critical production environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Supporting ISO9001 compliance
- Conducting internal and supplier audits
- Managing NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
- Completing First Article Inspections (FAI)
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Involvement in supplier quality activities
- Technical documentation control
- Calibration processes
- Inspection activities across manufacturing operations
Key requirements:
- Experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer
- Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Experience conducting internal, external and supplier audits
- Knowledge of NCRs, CAPA and quality investigations
- Experience with FAI (First Article Inspection)
- Hands-on inspection and metrology experience, including CMM, micrometers, calipers and height gauges
- Engineering or manufacturing industry background
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, engineering and suppliers
Desirable:
- Internal or Lead Auditor certification
- Experience within rail, aerospace, industrial machinery, precision engineering or other safety-critical sectors
- Calibration and supplier quality experience
