We are recruiting for a Body Interior β Cabin Safety Lead Engineer to support the end-to-end development of automotive cabin and occupant safety systems for a leading OEM programme in the mid to luxury vehicle segment.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on concept to launch delivery of cabin safety and restraint systems, working closely with suppliers, manufacturing, CAE and cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cabin safety / occupant safety / restraint system development from concept to production
- Deliver prototype and production parts meeting cost, weight, quality and safety targets
- Manage supplier technical delivery, validation and programme milestones
- Own BOM, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, documentation and design releases
- Ensure compliance with automotive regulations, homologation and OEM standards
- Support VAVE / cost reduction initiatives
- Work with CAE teams on functional and NVH targets
Essential Skills & Experience
- Automotive Cabin Safety / Occupant Safety / Restraint Systems experience
- Strong CATIA V5 capability (3D models, 2D drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-up)
- Knowledge of plastic components, tooling and manufacturing processes
- Experience working to vehicle programme milestones
- Supplier management and technical delivery ownership
- Understanding of OEM PLM processes
This role suits a Senior or Lead Engineer with proven delivery ownership rather than pure analysis or CAE-only backgrounds.
