An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Expediter to join a busy aerospace manufacturing environment on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. As an Expediter, Production Controller or Progress Chaser, you will play a key role in maintaining production flow, monitoring manufacturing work orders and ensuring components move efficiently through machining, assembly and inspection. Working closely with Production, Planning, Logistics and Quality teams, you’ll help minimise delays and support on-time customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Expedite components through the manufacturing process
- Monitor production work orders and manufacturing schedules
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks
- Liaise with Production, Planning, Logistics and Quality teams
- Update SAP or ERP/MRP systems and maintain accurate production records
- Support production planning and delivery performance
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Expediter, Progress Chaser, Production Controller or similar
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is essential
- Knowledge of production planning, work orders and manufacturing processes
- Experience using SAP, ERP or MRP systems is highly desirable
- Aerospace or precision engineering experience is advantageous
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
Contract: Initial 6 months with potential extension
Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:30 (on-site)
