Are you an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect with proficiency in AWS Cloud technologies and GenAI, developing and designing Cloud solution architecture for application teams utilising Cloud services and demonstrable experience of building architecture patterns? If so, our client, a major British multinational insurance company providing insurance, wealth management, and retirement solutions to over 25 million customers globally, is currently seeking an AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect who is proficient in assessing/selecting cloud technologies, creating patterns and ensuring that deliveries to cloud follow security and architectural best practice.
Your responsibilities:
- Design and deliver Cloud networking solutions to our customers
- Act as the Technical Design Authority in network projects
- Build and deliver Architectural training to Business teams
- Experience designing and deploying landing zones
- Developing and designing Cloud solution architecture for application teams utilising Cloud services
- Demonstrable experience of building architecture patterns
- Excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills
- Writing and maintaining guidance and content for various Cloud knowledge wiki sites
- Staying abreast of the latest open source / cloud technologies, platforms and service providers
- Building stakeholder relationships and owning cloud deliveries. Experience in presenting and sharing knowledge to a variety of audiences
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Proficient in providing consultancy, best practice, and architectural support to our internal teams
- Proficient in AWS Cloud technologies and GenAI
- Proficient in assessing/selecting cloud technologies, creating patterns and ensuring that deliveries to cloud follow security and architectural best practice
- Understands modern application architectures and their dependencies on an Enterprise Cloud infrastructure platform
- Experience in enabling self-service and automation
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills and curiosity
- Able to articulate complex technical problems to a technical and non-technical audience
- Well-Architected Framework
- Good stakeholder management
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
- AWS Infra Services, Devops Tools, Terraform
- On-Prem experience
