We are looking for experienced PowerOn Reliance (PoR) SCADA Engineers to join a high-impact programme based in Wokingham, working on complex transmission and energy systems. Role Details
- Location: Wokingham (5 days onsite)
- Contract Type: 6-month contract

The Role
As a PowerOn Reliance SCADA Engineer, you will play a key role in testing, validating, and delivering SCADA/EMS solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. You will work closely with customers, system integrators, and delivery teams to ensure seamless implementation and high-quality system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert support across GE PowerOn Reliance SCADA/EMS systems
- Design and execute test scenarios and test cases (functional, non-functional, integration)
- Validate system implementation against requirements and operational workflows
- Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams (POs, SMEs, testers)
- Manage defects, risks, and test progress using tools like JIRA/XRAY
- Support end-to-end system testing across multiple environments
- Contribute to test strategy, planning, and execution
- Work on system integration and interface validation
- Ensure high-quality delivery aligned with industry standards and best practices
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with GE PowerOn Reliance (PoR) SCADA
- Expertise in SCADA/EMS configuration and testing
- Experience with key PoR modules (e.g. Telecontrol, Automation, Alarms, System Tracing)
- Knowledge of SCADA architecture (Application Server, FEP, Historian, etc.)
- Understanding of power system protocols (IEC 101/104, IEC 61850, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile delivery environments
- Experience with test management tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Solid knowledge of Windows/Linux environments
- Understanding of IT/OT and cybersecurity standards
Nice to Have
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in utility or energy sector projects
- Background in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering
- Extensive experience in SCADA implementation and integration
