We are recruiting a Telemetry Support Engineer to join a major organisation undergoing significant IT and Operational Technology (OT) transformation. This role is ideal for an experienced support engineer with knowledge of telemetry, SCADA, Operational Technology, application support, databases and IT Service Management.
You will support business-critical OT and telemetry systems, provide 2nd line application support and work closely with technical teams, project managers, service delivery and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 2nd line support for business-critical applications and OT systems
- Perform database configuration in line with established standards
- Investigate and resolve incidents, problems and technical faults
- Support BAU implementations, upgrades and service transition activities
- Liaise with IT service desk and service delivery teams
- Support project planning through scope, effort and resource estimates
- Maintain high standards of application and operational support
- Experience supporting telemetry, SCADA, OT or control systems
- Application support, incident management and problem resolution experience
- Database configuration, database administration or SQL knowledge
- Knowledge of IT networks, telecommunications or hardware support
- Understanding of IT Service Management, configuration management and knowledge management
- Strong communication, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills
- ITIL Foundation v4 or above is highly desirable. Programming, hardware installation, telecommunications and networking experience are also advantageous.
