They are specialists in organo-sulphur synthesis and high-pressure hydrogenation supplying organic chemistry services to a global market in quantities from grams to multi-tonnes. They manufacture intermediates for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others and their team of chemists are experts in custom synthesis, contract manufacture and process optimisation.
They have a vacancy for a Technical Operator and are looking to recruit for an immediate start. My client is offering a fantastic salary and excellent benefits as follows:
- 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off Shift Rotation
- Every 8-week rotation there is an 18-day break with one day allocated to training

My client is looking for:
- An experienced process operative ideally coming from a chemical manufacturing environment
- Someone with an excellent attitude towards health and safety and to be familiar with COSHH and risk assessments
- Someone who ideally has completed an IOSH Working Safely qualification
- It would be beneficial for you to hold a current counterbalance forklift truck licence
You will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Monitoring of chemical reactions and undertaking distillations, separations, transfers, filtrations, and powder handling
- The use of vacuum systems, nitrogen and control panels
