The Role
This is a rapidly growing area in which our in-house software is critical in enabling a world class charging experience for our customers. Our teams plan, design, integrate and validate the charging system software to ensure we deliver our charging systems on time and to quality. In this role you will be working in an Agile environment to lead our in-house software verification using the latest hardware in the loop and test automation capability. You will be part of a team that is engineering visionary charging products.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead a diverse team to validate in-house SW for our charging/discharging products
- Develop and execute test plans associated with our product roadmap
- Write test cases and methods identifying test automation opportunities
- Implement test frameworks to enable the verification of functional and non-functional requirements
- Responsible for ensuring test cases are linked back to requirements and standards
- Responsible for ensuring that the test data results are repeatable, and data is accurate
- Lead issue resolution using problem solving tools
- Build, maintain and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
- Proficient and experienced in validation of embedded software
- Experience in testing ASIL rated software
- Knowledge of ISO26262
- An understanding of charging technology and/or power electronics (i.e. AC/DC, DC/DC topologies)
- Experience using dSpace toolsets
- Proficient in root cause analysis and debugging system failures
- Creating, planning and executing smoke test and SW release
- Programming skills in a range of languages such as Python / C & C++
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, continuous integration and deployment with exposure to GitLab, Jenkins, Jira
- MSc/MEng level qualification in Software or Electronics engineering or similar
- Highly motivated, capable of prioritising workload and motivating others

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced development environment
- Results driven by the ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills and communication effectively at all levels
- A highly flexible person who can respond to an ever-changing, fast-paced environment, with the ability to support the needs of the Customer and the business
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred, ideally in Electrical/Electronics/Control Systems/Mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Experience working with charging systems or power electronics validation
- Experience of test automation toolchains
- Knowledge of vehicle level architectures and automotive networks
- Experience delivering embedded software in a real time control environment for charging power electronics with working voltages up to 1000V and power ratings in excess of 250kW
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
