We are recruiting for a PVITC / CAT Engineer to support Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) propulsion and charging systems within a leading automotive engineering environment. This role focuses on Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT) and first-level (L0) issue triage, supporting vehicle users and engineering teams to ensure propulsion and charging issues are analysed, documented and routed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform L0 triage and analysis of propulsion and charging system issues
  • Support vehicle-level testing across BEV platforms
  • Analyse test data using INCA or equivalent tools
  • Ensure high-quality data capture, reporting and issue tracking
  • Liaise with propulsion, software integration, vehicle engineering and quality teams
  • Support issue replication on vehicles or test rigs where required
  • Contribute to CAT process metrics and reporting

Essential Experience

  • Experience in BEV / EV propulsion or powertrain systems
  • Background in vehicle testing, validation or integration
  • Hands-on use of INCA, ETAS or similar data analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics
  • Structured problem-solving approach in a technical environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • High-voltage system or component testing experience
  • Automotive OEM or Tier-1 supplier background
