An established aerospace manufacturing business is seeking a Quality Engineer to support product quality, compliance, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction across a high-performance production environment. This is a hands-on manufacturing quality role focused on AS9100 compliance, root cause analysis, APQP and defect reduction within a regulated aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing and production quality activities across the value stream
- Conduct audits to AS9100, ISO9001 and aerospace quality standards
- Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why and corrective action methodologies
- Drive continuous improvement, Lean and Six Sigma initiatives
- Support APQP, PFMEA, DFMEA, PPAP and Control Plans
- Review First Article Inspection documentation to AS9102
- Monitor supplier quality and manufacturing quality performance metrics
- Work closely with engineering, operations and customers to resolve quality issues
Requirements:
- Experience as a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer
- Aerospace, aviation or regulated manufacturing background
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 and ISO9001
- Experience with APQP, PFMEA, 8D and Root Cause Analysis
- SAP or MRP system experience preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
